Wifi is available throughout the castle. Our network is called Kerckebosch Guest. No password is required.
From Monday to Friday, breakfast is from 07:00 to 10:00 AM. On weekends and public holidays, breakfast is from 08:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We serve breakfast in our conservatory. Or when the weather allows us, on the terrace. Room service is possible. Please order this service the evening before (until 09:00 PM) at the reception. Surcharge € 15.00 per room.
Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator in our hotel (yet). All rooms are located on the first or second floor.
In our municipality, € 3.50 per person per night is charged for municipal taxes.
Smoking is not allowed in our castle and in the rooms. There is a designated place for this outside. If you smoke in the room, we are unfortunately forced to charge an extra cleaning fee of € 150.

Air conditioning in the rooms
Our 125-year-old castle does not have air conditioning. There is, however, a fan in every room as well as a package of additional sheets in the closet.
We keep lost items for you at our reception. If desired, we can also have them shipped to you by mail. Kerckebosch Castle is, however, not responsible for any item that gets lost during shipping.
We store all forgotten items for one month.
In the case of 8 or more people, this qualifies as a group reservation, and different terms and rates apply. Please contact our reservations department in such cases.
Kasteel Kerckebosch is a four-star boutique hotel in Zeist, on the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The hotel has a limited number of rooms and suites, spread over the castle and the wing. Patron-cuisinier and the permanent team are directly involved in every stay and event and welcome everyone in a warm and hospitable manner. Not a conference hotel with changing room layouts, but customized for intimate groups, couples, and families.
The castle is located in the greenery of Zeist, within walking distance of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Hiking and cycling routes on Groot Heidestein and in the Kaapse Bossen start almost at the doorstep. Trips to the Railway Museum, the National Military Museum, the Pyramid of Austerlitz, Ouwehands Zoo, and the city center of Utrecht are easy to make.
By car via the A12 or A28. Free parking is available around the hotel. By public transport: take the train to Driebergen-Zeist station and transfer to a direct bus towards Zeist. Consult 9292 or the NS travel planner for current departure times.
The hotel offers various room types, spread across the castle and the wing: basic, standard, and comfort rooms, 2 castle suites, and a Tower suite. The suites feature a whirlpool, a spacious private balcony, and provide extra space for those who want to make their stay just a bit more special.
Yes. Multiple rooms can be reserved close to each other. There are no connecting rooms available, but the team is happy to think along about the best layout. Combine the stay with a dinner, a package, and activities in the area. Due to the small-scale setup, it quickly feels like your own castle weekend.
Yes, but that depends on the room type. When making a reservation, provide the number of people and their ages. The team will then advise on the best room arrangement.
Bistoria is located in a bright conservatory on the edge of the forest in Zeist, amidst the greenery of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The open kitchen works with seasonal products and offers an extensive à la carte menu. The menu has international influences. The atmosphere is relaxed, the kitchen ambitious. Suitable for a special evening, a business dinner, a culinary celebration, or just to enjoy together. A new menu is presented every quarter, and there are special themes such as Indonesian Lunch, Fruits de Mer weeks, and Lobster weeks.
Yes. Bistoria is accessible to everyone. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends and holidays.
The kitchen takes into account the following dietary preferences: vegetarian, pescatarian, pregnancy, low-gluten, and low-lactose. Also, the following allergies: shellfish and nuts. Communicate preferences per person when making a reservation. Despite careful preparation, traces of allergens in the kitchen cannot be completely excluded.
Bistoria is open 7 days a week from 12:00 PM for lunch, dinner, coffee, drinks, and bites. Breakfast is served in the restaurant in the morning. Breakfast in the room is possible at an additional charge, if requested in advance. On Saturdays and Sundays, a Royal Tea is served in Bistoria. This is a special variant of High Tea. Each quarter, the theme of the Royal Tea is adjusted, and for the holidays, there are very special variants.
