We have been the owners since December 2014 and after years of neglectance, too little love & attention from our predecessors, we have given the Grand Dame of Zeist a great facelift.

The history of Kasteel Kerckebosch

When visiting Kasteel Kerckebosch it is fun to discover all the hidden secrets of the castle. The castle was built in 1911 by esquire Egbert Lintelo de Geer on the Kerckebosch estate.

An extensive collection of antique utensils and ornaments were used when building the castle. These come from restored churches, monasteries, and castles in the immediate vicinity. Castle lord Lintelo de Geer managed to purchase a lot of special old materials with befriended antique dealers. For example, in the lobby two very old doors with wrought iron knockers from the Dom cathedral in Utrecht have been used.

Our Castle Gin

We are proud of our own -very special- Castle Gin.

This includes the ingredients of our classic "Mama Vera's Rendang": think of lemongrass, djeroek peroet, star anise, ginger, and a pepper.

Can be ordered in our bar and Bistoria, or in a luxury gift box for sale at our reception.

Our check-in time is 3:00 PM. If you would like to arrive a little earlier, it is possible to reserve an early check-in based on availability. Check-in time will then be 1:00 PM. The price is € 25,00

Our check-out time is 11:00 AM. If you want to take it easy in the morning, it is possible to reserve a late check-out based on availability. The check-out time will then be 1:00 PM. The price is €25,00

WiFi WiFi

Wifi is available throughout the castle. Our network is called Kerckebosch Guest. No password is required.

Breakfast Breakfast

From Monday to Friday, breakfast is from 07:00 to 10:00 AM. On weekends and public holidays, breakfast is from 08:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We serve breakfast in our conservatory. Or when the weather allows us, on the terrace. Room service is possible. Please order this service the evening before (until 09:00 PM) at the reception. Surcharge € 15.00 per room.

Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator in our hotel (yet). All rooms are located on the first or second floor.

Municipal taxes Municipal taxes

In our municipality, € 3.50 per person per night is charged for municipal taxes.

Smoking Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in our castle and in the rooms. There is a designated place for this outside. If you smoke in the room, we are unfortunately forced to charge an extra cleaning fee of € 150.

Dogs are not allowed in our hotel.

We have extra beds available for children.

  • 0 – 3 years - €15,00 per bed
  • 3-12 years - € 32,50 per bed.

Unfortunately, we do not have connecting rooms, but we can of course make sure that the reserved rooms are next to each other.

Coffee & Tea

All rooms include coffee & tea facilities, the tea and coffee cups are replenished daily.

Netflix

All rooms have a smart TV, on which you can stream Netflix from your own Netflix account.

Air conditioning in the rooms

Our 125-year-old castle does not have air conditioning. There is, however, a fan in every room as well as a package of additional sheets in the closet.

Forgot something? Forgot something?

We keep lost items for you at our reception. If desired, we can also have them shipped to you by mail. Kerckebosch Castle is, however, not responsible for any item that gets lost during shipping.

We store all forgotten items for one month.
